About the Société Foncière Beaujolais-Val-de-Saône
The Société Foncière Beaujolais-Val-de-Saône (SFBVS) is a community-interest cooperative company (SCIC) in the form of a simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with variable capital, operating within the social and solidarity economy. It is wholly owned by OGEC Notre-Dame and its partners.
A structure serving an ambitious project
As part of its development, OGEC Notre-Dame decided to create, in close collaboration with its teams, users and partners, a dedicated structure for managing and optimising its property portfolio.
This initiative pursues several key objectives:
- Putting users at the heart of every project
Develop a project-management approach attentive to users’ real needs, built on listening, consultation and sharing. - Optimising spaces and their uses
Adapt premises, whether owned or not, to the current and future requirements of activities, in terms of both surface area and functionality. - Building a sustainable investment strategy
Steer renovation and development work through a coherent technical and financial master plan, in line with the company’s capacities. - Facilitating large-scale projects
Support complex operations (refurbishment or construction) by optimising their financing and implementation. - Pooling resources and expertise
- Centralise purchasing and negotiate with suppliers.
- Maintain solid technical expertise for effective dialogue with service providers.
- Coordinate the teams in charge of maintenance.
- Anticipate medium-term investment needs.
- Strengthening safety and compliance
Guarantee the protection of people and property through centralised management of standards and regulatory obligations. - Optimising financial relationships
Negotiate global, recurring financing with banking partners. - Opening up prospects for cooperation
In time, allow other players in Catholic or non-profit private education, as well as institutions, to join the structure or benefit from its property-management expertise.
A structured response to a strategic challenge
Faced with a property portfolio in constant evolution, larger, sometimes dispersed and heterogeneous, and in a constrained financial context, OGEC Notre-Dame has chosen to structure and secure its property strategy.
The creation of SFBVS reflects a desire to sustain the work carried out over many years in the service of the schools, educational teams, families and pupils.
